I’m Emma Austin, an ABTC Registered Clinical Animal Behaviourist and member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC). I specialise in complex behaviour problems, using evidence-based approaches tailored to you and your dog’s individual circumstances.

Living with a dog whose behaviour is causing concern can be exhausting, confusing and sometimes overwhelming. Whether your dog is struggling with anxiety, fear, aggression, reactivity or separation-related problems, you don’t have to work through it alone.
My comprehensive clinical behaviour consultations go beyond simply addressing the behaviour you can see. I review your dog’s veterinary history and any previous behaviour assessments to understand the factors contributing to their difficulties. Together, we’ll develop a practical, evidence-based plan tailored to both you and your dog, using humane, reward-based approaches that protect your dog’s welfare.
Your consultation includes a detailed written behaviour assessment and modification plan, liaison with your veterinary surgeon and pet insurer where appropriate, and an online follow-up consultation within four weeks to review progress and help you put your plan into practice.
The aim is not simply to change behaviour, but to help you understand your dog, feel more confident in supporting them, and improve quality of life for you both.
