I offer 121 behavioural consultations FACE to FACE as well as ONLINE using a combination of video conferencing, whatsapp, videos of your dog and demonstrations from me, we also work through exercises on the call as needed.
"We recently moved our classes to video link and are getting just as much out of them. We really enjoy working with Emma and have seen very positive changes in our dog's behaviour both at home and out on walks. I would not hesitate in recommending Emma to anyone" (see facebook for further reviews)
So if you are starting to experience any problem behaviours such as anxiety, fears, destructive behaviour, house training, reactivity or problems focusing then contact me now for an initial behaviour consultation. I provide efficient and effective problem solving to meet your goals whilst protecting the welfare of your dog. After an initial behaviour consultation we will work through an agreed program which may last anywhere between 4 and 12 sessions ensuring that we review progress and meet our agreed goals.
Here are some of the advantages to working online: 1. You don't have to travel with your dog 2. You can relax and focus fully in the comfort of your own home 3. Your dog is safe and comfortable at home 4. Your dog's behaviour is completely natural and not influenced by having another person in the house 5. We can analyse your dog's behaviour in greater detail using video 6. You have access to a wider range of resources including videos and theory to refer back to
Face to Face training takes place at our bespoke paddock at SG5 2EY
I'm a Certified Canine Behaviourist (INTOdogs) and a Certified Animal Behaviourist (International Companion Animal Network) and I can work with a range of pet insurers [please check your individual policy]
I'm also an Agility Club Approved Instructor.
RULE OF 6 - We keep all groups to 6 or less outdoors only and 2 meters apart. This count includes customers, the instructor and a helper so there will only be 4 dogs in each group. Customers are asked to attend with only one handler per dog and not to bring dependents with them to a class. We cannot provide seating or rest areas, however, you are welcome to bring your own deck chair/portable chair or to enjoy a drink in the Farrowby Farm café. If you are spectating please ensure you remain 2meters apart.
ENTRIES AND EXITS - All customers are asked to sanitise their hands on entry and exit from the paddock. We ask that only instructors handle the gate and will supervise all entries and exits. Please wait at least 2 meters apart if you arrive early for your class and wait away from the gate to allow the previous class to exit safely.
SOCIAL DISTANCING - During all exercises locations are marked with red and white poles and customers are asked to move single file. We all need to play our part and keep our distance. Customers are asked to keep distance through the gate and the duty instructor monitors all entries and exits.
EQUIPMENT - Customers need to ensure that they bring all equipment needed as it cannot be shared. Customers are asked not to handle any other dog or to share any equipment. If an instructor needs to handle a dog or any of the owner’s equipment in a class environment for any reason they will use surgical gloves. Where equipment is provided for the dogs use handlers need to take care not to handle the equipment, e.g. the dog paddling pool or wobble board.
HOME VISITS - Where these are required you will first be offered an online appointment. If this isn't suitable we will need to meet outside in your garden. Masks and gloves will be worn inside. If equipment is needed it will have been rested for 72 hours before the home visit.
AND FINALLY - All customers are asked not to attend if they or anyone in their household have symptoms or are isolating. We will assist Test and Trace if asked to do so. Customers need to wash their hands thoroughly as soon as they get home for at least 20 seconds.
We look forward to seeing your dog soon!
